Directions
To Niagara on the Lake from Southern Ontario:
Most major highways and roads in southern Ontario (the 401, 407, 427, 403, Red Hill Parkway, etc.) join via one another or directly onto the QEW. Take the QEW toward Niagara. Once you have crossed the Garden City Skyway in St. Catharines, take exit 38 for Highway 55 Niagara on the Lake. Turn right at the top of the ramp onto Glendale Road. At the traffic light, turn left onto York Road. Turn right onto Airport Road at the next light. When road deadends at Highway 55, turn right and follow Highway 55 (a.k.a. Niagara Stone Road) until it ends at the golf course, in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
To Niagara on the Lake from U.S.:
From U.S. bridge crossings, there are two options to get to Niagara on the Lake:
(1) Highway – follow signs for the QEW. Take exit 38 for Highway 55 Niagara on the Lake.
(2) Parkway – The Niagara Parkway can be a longer but is certainly a more beautiful route into Niagara on the Lake. From the Peace, Rainbow, Whirlpool or Queenston-Lewiston bridges, follow signs for the Niagara Parkway, which follows the Niagara River directly into town, ultimately becoming Niagara on the Lake’s main street, Queen Street.
