Andrew Wan, violin, is equally at home as a soloist, chamber musician and concertmaster. Julliard trained, he was named Concertmaster of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra shorty after graduating in 2008. At that time, he became one of the youngest leaders of a major symphony. His recordings include Grammy and Juno award-nominated releases with James Ehnes and the Seattle Chamber Music Society, the Metropolis Ensemble, and the Opus-award winning New Orford String Quartet. He is currently Assistant Professor of Violin at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University. Wan performs on a 1744 Michael Angelo Bergonzi violin, and gratefully acknowledges its loan from the David Sela Collection.
Canadian pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin, is a silver medalist and laureate of the Krystian Zimerman Prize at the 2015 International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. As a soloist, he has performed with more than 50 ensembles internationally. His first solo recording featuring works by Chopin, received a Felix Award (ADISQ) and widespread acclaim from critics throughout the world. The first volume of the complete Beethoven violin sonatas with Andrew Wan was released in the fall of 2018. More information at http://www.charlesrichardhamelin.com/
