The Performance Academy

Music Niagara

Music Niagara’s Performance Academy offers a unique summer experience for specially gifted young performers, unlike anything they can gain in other summer programs. Now in its seventh year, Music Niagara’s Performance Academy mentors emerging young musicians to learn and to express themselves as artists.

The Academy is unique in its approach to music. Our young performers learn through experience. They participate in a full spectrum of the performance arts offered by professional artists and ensemble and alumni members of the Shaw Festival Theatre

Golf Tournament — COVID-Safe

Wednesday August 4th, 2021

Sponsored by Miller Group Properties

Music Niagara and Miller Group have teamed up once again to put on another fabulous day of golf at the Niagara-on-the Lake Golf Course. Join us on Wednesday August 4th for Music Niagara’s Duet Open where teams of two will enjoy a safe, socially distant 9-hole alternate shot format with music on the course, followed by drinks, a raffle, prizes and a lovely outdoor lunch.  The alternate shot format involves two players competing together as a team by alternating in making strokes at a single ball.

The Great Debate and Dinner

The Great Debate features: Tom Allen, author, and CBC broadcaster, Robert Harris, music journalist, writer, teacher and broadcaster, Peter Hall, (mostly) retired radio host; and special guest appearance from soprano and broadcaster Julie Nesrallah and William Littler, music critic and speaker.  Watch as they face off in a lively debate on a favourite topic: Mozart is all you need. This is a rare chance to hear prominent experts debate one of the greatest composers of all time. The Great Debate features musical illustrations from Victoria Kogan (piano) and Atis Bankas (violin).
