This ensemble of some of Canada’s finest musicians melds jazz, funk, dessert blues and reggae into a thrilling live performance. From the vocal prowess of Egyptian vocalist Maryem Hassan Tollar and Algerian violinist Fethi Nadjem, to the intricate guitar lines of Michael Occhipinti, the driving beats of bassist Ryan Spratt, the masterful percussion and vocals of Lucho Orbigoso (who also showcases his talents on the trombone), and the steady rhythms of drummer Vince Maccarone, Los Variants promises a global musical journey.
