CELEBRATION OF 25 YEARS OF EXCEPTIONAL MUSIC IN NIAGARA ON THE LAKE

Join host Mike Bullard for the final event of Music Niagara’s 25th season. This is one that definitely should not be missed. This evening will start with phenomenal performances by Lithuanian and Ukrainian artists. The first half of the concert will feature a world premiere of work composed especially for this occasion by Lithuanian composer, Arunas Navakas written for Birbyne, Violin, and Kankles entitled “Cranes” (meaning a type of bird). It will feature Aiste Bruzaite (Kankles) and Egidijus Alisauskas (Birbyne).
Next, you will hear selections from the “Two Families Band” from Crimea, Ukraine. This group features an interesting collection of musical instruments: guitar, flute, domra, harmonica, two vocals and double bass.
The evening will conclude with a musical journey around the world featuring the band Los Variants. With an incredibly diverse range of music at their fingertips, they will amaze with Flamenco, Middle Eastern, Afrofunk, Reggae, and jazz rhythms.
