The greatest jazz album ever produced, Miles Davis’s masterpiece ‘Kind of Blue’ sounds as fresh today as it did 60 years ago. Released in 1959, the album was a landmark recording for Miles and stands as one of the great pieces of art that captured a genre in its most pure form. Steve McDade, one of Canada’s finest trumpet players, invokes the legendary artist behind this iconic recording, and he’s joined by talented band members Perry White on tenor saxophone, John Johnson on alto sax, Adrean Farrugia on piano, Scott Alexander on bass, and Brian Barlow on drums.
