About the Performer:
Having been characterized as an intellectual interpreter of music and an expressive artist, Victor’s classical repertoire always sounds innovative due to his spontaneity and artistic nature. A laureate of the Cite des Arts de Paris scholarship and Albert Roussel scholarship, a graduate of The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and a student of Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris academy, Victor has three CDs under his belt that are notable stepping stones of the young prominent artist’s career.
After an extraordinary show at Carnegie Hall , The New York Concert Review has described Victor Paukstelis’s greatest strengths as ‘a natural, impeccable sense of rhythm, and a finely delineated dynamic range’ and his technical skills as ‘Honest And Solid, Never Disproportionate To The Music At Hand, But Capable Of Generating Real Heat When Called For’.
The famous French pianist and professor Jean Marc Luisada has described Victor as an extremely sensitive artist with an extraordinarily intellectual pursuit of form, sound full of volume and space as well as a top notch performance technique. Unique interpretation of form, gentility, expressiveness and bravery are the main features of Mr. Paukstelis. He views traditional compositions through his artistic personality: the stage is not the place for him to offer cliche musical interpretation.
Victor is on the path to establishing himself as an artist of the highest level on the international music scene, appearing in festivals such as the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, the Music Festival of Pite Alvdal in Sweden, the International Holland Music Sessions Festival in the Netherlands, the West Chester University Festival in the USA and the Accademia Internationale di Musica di Cagliari in Italy. He has performed in world famous venues such as Carnegie hall, Wiener Musikverein, and Berlin Philharmonic, as well as the Salle Cortot Paris. Currently performing as solo and solo – animation project in Europe and North America.
