Announcing our new Partner- Château des Charmes
After almost fifty years of growing grapes and making celebrated wine at Lailey Vineyards, Donna Lailey has a new passion — bringing wine and music together at the annual Music Niagara Festival. As a member of Music Niagara’s Board of Directors, Donna has been quietly nurturing the relationship between local wineries and the Festival.
Each year Donna calls on old wine industry friends, searching for ways her two passions can support each other. She wants to make sure we represent the quality of the music and the quality of the wines that come from this soil.
Donna refers to her reception at the wineries “amazing”. She praises PondView, Konzelmann and Chateau de Charmes, among the supporting wineries. In 2020, the At Home series will be filmed at PondView Estate Winery and Chateau des Charmes.
We are thrilled that we can bring wine and music together this summer!
Château des Charmes
Music Niagara is excited to include Château des Charmes as one our partners this season. Château des Charmes provide an ideal setting for a unique musical experience in the historic Niagara on-the-Lake.
Château des Charmes was founded in 1978 by Paul Bosc, a fifth-generation French winegrower. Paul and his young family arrived in Niagara in the 1960’s with the idea that growing their own grapes was the best way to make fine wine. More than ever, they believe in this Estate Winery model and they make their own wine only from grapes they have grown themselves.
They believe they are custodians of the land. From the beginning they have been committed to using sustainable practices and are charter members of Sustainable Winegrowing Ontario.
